"Pseudophilotes bavius," also known as the Ankara blue, is a unique species of day-flying butterflies flourishing in the dry steppes and rocky slopes surrounding Ankara, the capital of Turkey. This small butterfly, with wings adorned in delicate patterns of blue and brown, captures attention with its subtle yet elegant appearance. The Ankara blue is adapted to life in low-humidity conditions and favors sunny, open spaces where it can feed on the nectar of low-growing flowers. Despite its modest size, this species plays a significant role in the ecosystems, pollinating local plants and serving as food for other animals.
